 Tunisian Crochet with Robyn Krause

Tunisian crochet has a multi-national history, with early examples found in Africa and Central Asia.  It was a popular technique in Victorian-era publications, with patterns using Tunisian Simple Stitch and cross-stitch embroidery on the finished fabric’s grid being all the rage.  Tunisian crochet was frequently referred to as “afghan stitch”.  A Tunisian crochet hook is longer than a regular crochet hook.  It has a hook at one end and a knob at the other end to hold the stitches on the hook.  The basics will be taught.  Kim Guzman’s book, Learn to do Tunisian Lace Stitches,  a size K afghan hook and a skein of worsted weight yarn are required.
