Saturday, August 15 to September 5, 12-1:30pm with Madalyn Wednesday, August 19 to September 16 (No Class September 2) 11am-12:30pm with Nora Thursday, September 10 to October 1, 6-7:30pm with Nora Wednesday, September 23 to October 14, 3:30-5pm with Nora Tuesday, October 6 to 27, 10-11:30am with Darlene Thursday, October 8 to 29, 4:30-6pm with Nora This class is for beginners. You'll get started with chain, single crochet and double crochet stitches the first two classes. Choose a skein of Plymouth Encore yarn and a H hook and you will be on your way! On the 3rd class, you will pick out an easy project, learn to read simple crochet instructions & work on your chosen project for the remainder of the course.

The emphasis of this class is EDUCATION. Students are guided through the various stitches and techniques each month as their knitting knowledge is increased. With a different skill focus each month there is something new to learn at each class. Topics such as gauge, cast ons, bind offs, cables, increases, decreases, lace, pattern reading and more are covered. Join in the fun! $90/quarter *If you have not taken the first two quarters, please do NOT sign up for this class.

Friday, August 14, 28 & September 11, 2-4 pm Learn the parts of the loom and weaving terminology. Students will assemble their loom, warp it and do a balanced weave using worsted weight yarn purchased from MYS. This basic class is a spring board for more advanced weaving technique classes to come. If bringing own loom, make sure it is a rigid heddle and is no bigger than 20". Check with Georg if uncertain.

Join us on Friday, August 30 from 7-9pm for a special Fundraising Friday where all registration fees will be donated to the Whistling Cardinals Walk to End Alzheimer's team which benefits the Alzheimer's Association. Darlene and Kate are participating in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's" in Elk Grove Village. They are raising money for a future without Alzheimer's. Unwind, enjoying knitting, crocheting, weaving and laughing with friends while supporting a fantastic cause. We will have raffle drawings, special discounts, and items for sale. Cost is $10. Note: Registration on the day of the event is only available via email or phone. Please email us at darlene@mosaicyarnstudio.com or call us at 847-390-1013 so we know you are coming. We will cancel the event if we get fewer than 4 people registered.
