Fridays, August 6 to 27, 10 -11:30 a.m. Cool and airy, Leger Redux makes a great transitional garment between seasons and is especially perfect for those sensitive to wool and alpaca.

2nd Saturday of every month, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (CDT) Join Darlene in crocheting a block a month. Choose one month or them all! This is a virtual class. Pre-register.

1st Sunday of every month, 12 - 1:30 p.m. (no class on Easter) Working in stripes, learn one to two new crochet stitches a week. The class will focus on joining in new colors and weaving in ends. Choose your favorite colors of HiKoo Simplicity and a variety of sized hooks (F to I) to get started.

Tuesdays, July 27 to August with Georg Thursdays, August 5 to 26 with Darlene This class is for beginners. You'll get started with chain, single crochet and double crochet stitches the first two classes. Choose a skein of Plymouth Encore yarn and a H hook and you will be on your way! On the 3rd class, you will pick out an easy project, learn to read simple crochet instructions & work on your chosen project for the remainder of the course.

Wednesdays, July 7 to 28 with Kate Thursdays, July 8 to 29 with Nick During the first 2 classes, you will learn to cast on knit, purl increase, decrease & cast off. On the 3rd class, you will pick out an easy project, learn to read simple knitting instructions & work on your chosen project for the remainder of the course.

Thursday, August 12 to 26, 6 - 8 p.m. Or Saturdays, August 28 to September 11, 2 - 4 p.m. Once you have mastered basic brioche you are ready to take it to the next level. This hat incorporates a cable for an added ?twist? to the traditional two color brioche technique

Saturday, July 31, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Learn to knit a basic fair isle hat. You will choose your own motifs and color combinations. Please bring a 16" circular needle size 7. Homework: Cast on 100 stitches on a 16" circular needle size US 5, join in the round and work in ribbing for 1 1/4".

Tuesday, July 13 & 20, 6 - 8 p.m. Using a frame loom, students will learn some basics of weaving, including how to warp the frame, how to create some simple stitches and how to let the design process flow while making a simple wall hanging. No experience needed. Frames available at MYS.

Sundays, July 18, August 1 & 15, 2 -4 p.m. Learn the parts of the loom and weaving terminology. Students will assemble their loom, warp it and do a balanced weave using worsted weight yarn purchased from MYS. This basic class is a spring board for more advanced weaving technique classes to come. If bringing own loom, make sure it is a rigid heddle and is no bigger than 20". Check with Georg if uncertain.

Saturdays, August 7 to 21, 12 - 2 p.m. The Little Boxes Socks are a simple, yet striking, colorwork pattern that knits up quick! Easy to memorize, and addictive to make, these little socks will have you diving into your stash again and again for different color combinations. Use Teenie Weenie balls or United Socks.
