1st Sunday of every month, 12 - 1:30 p.m. (date will change on holiday weekends) Working in stripes, learn one to two new crochet stitches a week. The class will focus on joining in new colors and weaving in ends. Choose your favorite colors of HiKoo Simplicity and a variety of sized hooks (F to I) to get started.

Wed. October 21 & 28, 5:30-7:30 p.m. These fingerless gloves practically knit themselves with their intuitive cables. Sun. October 11 to November 1. This class is for beginners. You'll get started with chain, single crochet and double crochet stitches the first two classes. Choose a skein of Plymouth Encore yarn and a H hook and you will be on your way! On the 3rd class, you will pick out an easy project, learn to read simple crochet instructions & work on your chosen project for the remainder of the course.

Sunday, August 23, September 13 & 20 OR Sunday, September 27, October 4 & 18, 2 - 4 p.m. Learn the parts of the loom and weaving terminology. Students will assemble their loom, warp it and do a balanced weave using worsted weight yarn purchased from MYS. This basic class is a spring board for more advanced weaving technique classes to come. If bringing own loom, make sure it is a rigid heddle and is no bigger than 20". Check with Georg if uncertain.

Wed. September 30, 5 -6:30 p.m. Knit your very own Pom Pom Party Slippers by The Wooliers! These slippers are easily customized to any Women?s or Men?s size, and are topped with lofty Pom Poms. Inspired by the slippers our great grandmother made for us as kids, we love to wear these in lieu of shoes while cozy at home.

Sunday, October 25, November 1 7 15, 2 - 4 p.m. The Log Cabin pattern is a color-and-weave pattern which basically means that the way the warp and weft strand colors interlock creates the pattern. Knowledge of plain weave (tabby weave) necessary. Students must know how to warp a loom.

If you can slip sts, knit and purl - then you can do Mosaic knitting! Nick used one skein of Molly Girl Sport and one skein of Oink Sport. Homework: Work ribbing before class.

Show Us Your Stuff is a mix-and-match stitch sampler shawl designed specifically to showcase hand dyed yarn. It is a simple boomerang shape that makes for easy knitting. The pattern includes a 5 stitch patterns that can be mixed and combined as you?d like, with each pattern showing off the hand dyed colors a little differently.

Wednesday, October 7 & 14, 5-6 pm Designed by Olga Buraya-Kefelian. Shaping of this scarf is inspired by the feathers of Hamaya - a "demon-breaking arrow", a decorative arrow sold at shrines at New Year's to ward off misfortune and to attract good luck. Pleated look of the scarf is actually based on Miura-ori style of origami that folds into a neat compact shape and opens into multidimensional textured accessory. Homework: cast on stitches before first Zoom class.

Friday, October 9, 6-8 pm Although it is not quite safe for us to be together in a larger group, we inviting you to a virtual yarn gathering. We will meet on Friday, October , 6- 8 p.m. Feel free to "bring" your own food/beverage. Unwind, enjoying knitting, crocheting, weaving and laughing with friends. We will have raffle drawings and special discounts. Cost is $10. Please register so we know what to expect and have your current project ready to show and share.
