Grace Akhrem Workshops: Short Rows vs. Short Rows
Short-rows have unapologetically taken over knitting pattern worl by storm. Designers are using them to create everything from turning a heel, incorporating bust shaping, or simply to create a unique shape in a pattern with interesting construction. Whether you are just discovering short-rows or have been working them for a while this class will uncover the mystery of when to use which technique and how they differ. In this we class will cover in depth the w&t, German, and Japanese short-row methods.

Materials:
- Two color of worsted weight yarn in a solid (no heathers) light color that is also smooth in texture, for best results use Stonehedge Shepherd’s Wool Worsted. Avoid acrylic yarns and blends and dark colors.
- Size 7 U.S. needles (single point or 24 "circular, whichever you prefer)
- Locking stitch markers
- Smooth waste yarn (about 1/2 yard) in a contrasting color
- Pencil
- Scissors
