Are you surprised at how stiff your body is after knitting?
Do you worry about repetitive stress injuries sidelining your creativity?
Is it too easy for you to tune out your body's needs when you are immersed in a project?
Join Marcie Leek, a yoga teacher and knitter from Seattle Washington and owner of "Yoga for Knotted Knitters" for a special workshop for knitters (crocheters too) at Mosaic on Sunday, July 21, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. $35 Fee.
From Marcie: "If you have been searching for a solution to wrist pain, aching shoulders, or stiff joints, we've got you covered! Here at Yoga for Knotted Knitters, we are dedicated to helping you feel great so you can knit well. We provide resources, education, and fun so that you (and your crafty friends) will know how to take care of your bodies (and minds) to keep knitting."
During our workshop at Mosaic: Each person will sit on a chair or stand next to a chair and learn yoga especially targeted to knitters. There is no mat needed. You will go home with a handout of helpful yoga poses. We will end the workshop with some time to knit/crochet and enjoy coffee/cookies.
