Year of Cowls 2024 (via Zoom)
Each month students will knit a different cowl. Patterns will be chosen by June with suggestions from students.
January-Chains (designed by Darlene Joyce)
June is reknitting this one in Knitcol and Ultra Wool dk. It is a smidge finer than the original yarn but we think it will work. June might go down to a size US 6 needle.
February-Spread a Little Sparkle (designed by Darlene Joyce)
March-Boo-Yah (Emma's Yarns); find kits here. Pattern is not included in kit. It is $4 on Ravelry.
April-Carley Cowl (Emma's Yarns); any sock yarn with 300 to 400 yards will work.
May-Frond of You (Emma's Yarns); one skein of Suri Silk (click on link to order yarn)
June-Pressed Flowers Cowl; June used Dos Tierras (2 skeins each of 2 contrasting colors for biggest size)
July-skipped
August-Candleholder Cowl; June used one skein Madrona (one skein only)
September-Spiced Punch; June used one skein of Amitola Grande
October-Adobe Cowl; we have kits with pattern included. (click on link)
November-Leaflet Cowl; June used one skein of Smooshy with Cashmere
December-Arrow Cowl; June used two contrasting skeins of Tosh dk
Note: If you are stash from another LYS, the fee is $50. We can invoice you, just let us know.
