Valentine Doodle Days: Knit Hat or Cowl
Using Julie Lomax’s cleaver “doodling” pattern, you will plan your own hat and start knitting it in class.
You can use either Valentines 1 or Valentines 2 pattern. (click on links to get you to the Ravelry page)
Materials: 5 contrasting colors of dk weight yarn (Spree, Vintage Baby dk or Renew work well) and a 16” circular needle in both size US 4 & US 5, stitch makers and purchased pattern.
Note: If doing the cowl, get 24” circulars in the same sizes. (Darlene used a mixture of Spree and Vintage Baby)
Homework: Knit ribbing of your choice before class.
Students must have taken the Intro to Fair Isle class or know how to do stranded knitting.
