Mix and Match Cowl Mystery KAL (FREE)

Let's kick off this Mystery KAL together.  Darlene will work with you to get you started.  

Valerie Reed and Cynthia Spencer are excited to introduce our sixth collaboration, the Mix and Match Mystery Cowl. This fun and creative knit-along launches on Local Yarn Store Day (April 26, 2025)! A five-week mystery project gives you the chance to choose between Cynthia’s clue or Valerie’s clue at each stage, meaning every cowl will be unique!

How It Works
• Clues will be released weekly for five weeks, starting April 26. (Note that May 10 is skipped.)
• At each step, you’ll get to pick between two design options, making your cowl truly your own.
• The pattern is available on Ravelry now, but you can get it for free with purchase with a coupon code from your local yarn shop—but be sure to redeem it between midnight (ET) on April 26 and midnight (ET) on April 28! Before and after those dates, the cowl will be available for you to purchase.

What You’ll Need
• Worsted-weight yarn in four colors:
• 80 yards of a main color
• 40 yards each of three contrasting colors
• This project is great for scraps!
• Beads (optional) – 0 to 84 beads, depending on your chosen clues
• Gauge is important! Make sure to check it so you don’t run out of yarn.
