Astro Pop KAL (aka Olive Knits 4 Day KAL) Cast On Party

This year’s pattern is a nod to mid-century modern style and summer fun with a three-color summer top that pops! This flattering, top-down, circular yoke tee is a quick knit with vintage-inspired details.

DK or Sport Weight Yarn.  Test knitters are suggesting to lean more towards a sport weight. Darlene used HiKoo Twisp.  Other suggestions: Tillie, Marla, &Make DK, Spree, or Modern Cotton DK.

Construction
This lightweight, short-sleeve tee is knit top-down in the round (in one seamless piece). It features a circular yoke - with short row shaping along the back neckline for a comfortable fit. The vintage zig-zag details are worked with a needle two sizes larger to balance the gauge with the stockinette stitch. When the yoke is completed, it’s separated from the sleeves, and the lower body is worked in the round to the bottom edge. The sleeves are worked last.
