Mosaic Hand Dyed Yak Sock

These  luxurious Yak Sock yarns were dyed by yours truly at Mosaic! Each skein is OOAK (One Of A Kind) and has the unique personality of our staff.

Our Premium Yak Sock yarn is a fine blend of 21 micron superwash merino, yak and nylon. Yak wool has very fine fibres creating garments that are soft, warm, comfortable, yet lightweight.

The merino fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore the yarn will not ‘felt’ when washed.

Not just for socks, Premium Yak Sock yarn can also be used for shawls and accessories.

Composition: 65% Superwash Merino (21 mic), 20% Nylon, 15% Yak

Meterage: 425m (465 yds) per 100g

Tension: 28 sts x 36 rows, in 10cm (4in), over st st using 3.25mm needles

Wraps per inch: 14wpi

Care Instructions: Machine washable on a wool program ideally using a wool detergent at 30?C or below. Dry flat, do not sun dry or tumble dry. Avoid wringing and twisting.
